WASF, Installment the Next: Health Care For Kids

I will bet real money that you didn't know that the Dem-sponsored expansion of the SCHIP program for covering uninsured children was being financed, in no small part, by reductions in benefits available and paid to poor Seniors.

I learned this from Heather Wilson's (R. NM1) newsletter. John Dingell (D, MI) calls the reductions to Seniors an "acceptable price."

Of course, it's a stunning example of the logic of the false choice. There is no reason that there shouldn't be enough for both programs.

Well, there's that unpleasantness (originally typed "unpeasantness") in and around the Persian Gulf that's spilling 12 BILLION dollars a WEEK, and the blood of countless innocent victims, into the sands of Iraq.

But what of it? Surely there's only a spurious connection, at best...
