My buddy Dirk Gently, over on his nifty Albatross blog, heaps praises on Sen. Chris Dodd for leaving the presidential primary hi-jinks in Iowa, etc, to return to DC to fulfill his promise to filibuster the FISA reform bill which granted immunity to telecom companies for their complicity with the Bushevik regime's illegal wire-tapping of US citizens.I, too, applaud Dodd for his gumption. And, as I commented on the blog, Obama, Clinton, and Biden should ALL have taken the day to join Dodd in DC...
(I'd like to think he'd have done the same thing if he'd been in second, not second-last, place in the polls. Me? Yeah, I'm a rough crowd, amigo...)
