The Bleat Goes ON: Take THAT, You Mischievous Mayans!

Gun Lunacy: It seems to me that "gun lunacy" is a predominantly "white person's" preoccupation.

So, at the risk of being accused of painting with too broad a brush, I suggest that, if you approached those "gun loons" most fearful of losing the "protection" allegedly afforded by their firepower, and asked them to draw a picture of those against whom they figger they most need to defend themselves and loved ones, the "enemies" they drew would not look much like Jerrod Loughner or Adam Lanza, but would be of a MUCH "duskier" hue than the artists themselves or the vast majority of mass murderers.

So "Wrong," It's Been Good To Know Ya: My pal, Jim Terr, the premier sarcast and finest filker in these parts, reported this image today, saying that, since the peril of imminent extinction had for the moment safely passed, we could happily return to our TRUE pursuits: low humor and degrading comedy, or perhaps it's vice versa...It SURELY is "vice."

Now that we've narrowly missed the end of the world, thank God, can we get beyond degrading comedy like this and move on to a higher plane of some sort?
