You have to regard the Obama period as the elites do: a sort of palate-cleanser, a neutral-flavored morsel designed to wipe the taste of the shit from the previous 30-40 years off the tongues of the White electorate, while it is still a majority, and to make the next recrudescence--probably Jebbie--look like a delicate, fabulous treat...
The only way the people would have known they were supposed to remember would have been if the SCUM (SoCalledUnbiasedMedia) had had a nice, juicy, treason/war crimes trial to follow, when Shazama's DoJ prosecuted the departed Busheviki for their myriad, manifest, and manifold mis- and malfeasances in office. The CorpoRat press is not gonna remind the People of the Press' pitiful, pandering performances in permitting those events to pass unnoticed in the first place.
I must say I am surprised to find the author of the sentiment upbraiding the body politic for it's amnesia as well as offering puoi8nted reminders of Bushevik responsibility in these matters is (former?) neocon stalward Anne Applebaum.

Isn't there always the "appointed" blame taker to cry big crocodile tears for the poor, poor used electorate before the next game hits 3rd gear?
I predicted Jebbie (or his "brown" son) as the logical outcome of Obie's designation long before he "beat" Hillary.
